BOOST serves as a base layer and is applied to the skin before using normal chalk, thus further improving the friction.

BOOST is water-based, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin.
Each Boost pack contains 15g and is vacuum sealed. After opening, we recommend using it as soon as possible in order to have the full boost effect. Over time, the Boost becomes a bit drier when the packaging is open. By adding a little water, the basic properties can be restored and the period of use is extended.
To get the full boost grip, very little boost has to be applied to the fingertips and massaged in.
The high effectiveness of the boost formula means that very little boost is required, which means that the contents of the pack last a long time.
The Boost was developed with a focus on bouldering and sport climbing in order to offer an advantage especially in friction climbing!
It is best to use BOOST as follows:
1.Clean your hands of dirt, chalk and grease (this works best with REACT from Tokyo Powder)
2. Apply and massage in an even, thin layer of Boost on your fingertips
3. Let it flash off until it feels very grippy.
4. Chalk normally and feel the incredible friction.
5. Climb project :)
BOOST can also be used multiple times. Some testers had the experience
that the friction improved with the second application.
It all starts with the best raw ingredients – the Magnesium Carbonate. The misconception is that all Magnesium Carbonate are produced from mining and magnesite. Here at Tokyo Powder, we work closely with the Japanese salt industry who refine the Magnesium Carbonate as a by-product of the other salts from seawater. This also greatly reduces the environmental impact that is commonly caused by mining. It also helps to keep our chalk Calcium Carbonate free – which is a bad component for friction usually found in chalk that is derived from magnesite mining.
