Upsalite stands as the world’s sole mesoporous* magnesium carbonate, capable of absorbing moisture at a rate ten times greater than conventional magnesium carbonate. This innovative material was developed by nanotechnology specialists in Uppsala, Sweden.

Liquid Chalk incorporates magnesium carbonate derived from brine seawater, representing a significant environmental benefit.

• Magnesium hydroxide is contained in the liquid that remains after salt is extracted from seawater, and magnesium carbonate is purified by reacting it with carbon dioxide. In fact, manufacturing magnesium carbonate “consumes” carbon dioxide.

• Tubes are made of an Bio-Based Plastic and recycable. The production of plastic requires the use of ethanol. While ethanol is traditionally derived from petrochemical sources, Ropeless sugarcane tubes use ethanol derived from sugarcane. As a result, the final type of plastic obtained is the same type Ropeless had before, but from a natural source instead of a petrochemical one.
